Project Funding:
The MFM group secured 3 new grants in 2023: one from AES-ISCIII and two from the Ministry of Science and Innovation’s Public-Private Collaboration program.
Results Sharing:
The team has published 32 scientific papers: 8 in the top 10%, 6 in the top 25%, 5 in the second quartile, 8 in the third quartile, and 5 in the fourth quartile.
Additionally, six doctoral theses were defended by Itziar García Ruiz, Iván Hurtado, Erika Bonacina, Manuel Guerra, Berta Serrano, and Eduardo Kedisobua, respectively.
They presented 46 pieces of research at national (48%) and international (52%) conferences, including 25 invited talks.
Awards:
Dr. E. Carreras received the Barcelona Medal of Honor, Dr. M. Mendoza won the 2023 Science Award from the International Aspirin Foundation, and Dr. E. Bonacina earned the Premi Pioner 2023 from Institució CERCA.

The group has been actively working at the ERN Ithaca. The MFM group is actively working in the Spina bifida group.
