Multidisciplinary Nursing Research Group

The new current strategic lines of the group, whose interest focuses on research on older people, children and adolescents and their families, cover the ethical and social aspects of care, innovative technologies in health, and health promotion for the autonomy of patients and their caregivers. In 2023, the group has had 55 members and 18 publications have been generated in journals with an impact factor, 8 of which are in the first quartile. Four projects have obtained financing in national calls and one in an international call. Three nurses in the group have earned doctorates and 26 nurses are in the process of doctoral training. Throughout 2023 we have continued research on: the effectiveness of an intensive pre-surgical intervention to stop smoking in surgical patients; the development of the multiple sclerosis patient program and explore the association between nursing staff and health outcomes.
